"Without a doubt. All narcissists make sure they have multiple partners. That way if one partner doesn't work out (as in just give give and give some more to the narcissist until their is nothing left to give) the narcissist can move on to his next victim. The narcissist I knew well use to say he was the 'king' of picking up women. He said it was a hobby of his to collect numbers because he was so good at it. He told me that he would get several numbers in a day and that made him feel special. The only thing he had going for him was his looks and he knew this so finding multiple women to have sex with and use made him feel like he was God's gift to women, and he would tell you just that. They are not capable of having monogamous relationships nor do they want to. They need as many victims as they can get. To them collecting as many phone numbers as they can get is like a heroin fix to a drug addict."

I totally agree with this answer if you are referring to men that are narcissist. But what about the women who can be considered narcissist? I'm no expert, but I don't think these women are incapable of monogamous relationships. Generally speaking they may have more partners over their lifetime as compared to other women, since they may get bored a lot faster. That alone does not mean that they would not prefer monogamy.

A true Narcissist wants as many partners as possible, IF all of them idolize the Narcissist.

The above answer is correct they do want as many partners as possible. That way if one partner doesn't work out the way narcissist wants he/she has another lined up and ready to go. If you suspect you are with a narcissist-run!

Do yourself a favor and get as far away from them as possible. If you ask your narcissist if there is anyone else they will lie to you so you don't leave. Be sure of it as they are all pathological liars. That is one of the many horrible traits of Narcissism.

new answer: if 2 people have different forms of (pathological) narcissism they can have a relatively successful relationship but two cerebral narcissists, for example, would be fighting in no time.

I believe they do. My ex N did, sometimes he would take my breath away at the speed ..not just his mood, but his whole personality changed!

It was as if he had a personality for every occasion, when I was being "good" (doing what he wanted and agreeing with him), When I was "bad" (having an opinion of my own). A face that he put on to other women (a terrible flirt and charmer)A face for men (very aggressive stance)

Sometimes he would appear "deeply" caring over any problem I had (he wasnt able to keep that act up for long, if my problem went on for too long ,he would EXPLODE and tell me to get over it!

Sometimes he would be so flippant and callous it was unreal.

Sometimes I didnt feel I was real, our view of the same events were so different. And living with a human chamilion didnt help to ground me in reality at all!

I had to get out for the sake of my sanity!!
