Not unless the teacher tells you too :) Otherwise, its not a good idea, especially if your using chemicals.
When a glass breaks in a science class you should go wash your hands with soap and water because there might be chemicals in the glass because you can be infected by the chemicals that were in the glass that you broke you can get very sick.

Protection of life and limb pretty much covers the subject. This would mean wearing goggles and gloves when necessary, tie back hair, avoid spilling chemicals and bacteria and if you do, alert your teacher and do proper clean-up.
because if you use the chemical wrong way or you spilled and get hurt you can immediately get help but if you don't then you will have severe problems.
I would use "instruct" in a sentence like this: "The teacher will instruct the students on how to conduct the experiment."

It has made science more sensible to me because Scientists perform experiments and investigations to gather data and evidence prior to making conclusions.
