Being an old guy myself, I would say generally, Yes. It was a very common dance in the 1940's-50's when I was growing up, and we all danced to it at our Proms, etc. Maybe not that well, but we did waltz.
(However, my loving, but fearsome wife tells me that I'm like a circus bear on a chain, when I get on the dance floor.)

ok if you want to ballroom dance search the internet for local ballroom academys that are local to your area,I suggest going to google or ask.com to look for your answer,or you can always do it the old fashion way by asking a friend to ball room dance. Oh one more thing if when you ballroom dance you have to relax and let your body flow with the music.
