The only Scripture that comes close to saying, "go to heaven," is from the deepest heartfelt thought of SATAN THE DEVIL:
"How thou art fallen FROM HEAVEN, O LUCIFER... For THOU HAST SAID IN THINE HEART, 'I WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN...' [I WILL GO TO HEAVEN]" (Isa.14:12-13).
Nowhere in The Bible does God permit or promise man... ANY MAN... that he will go to heaven [that is, the "3rd heaven" where His throne is. The first two heavens of which the Bible speaks; man has gone and often repeatedly: the first one within the earth's breathable atmosphere where birds fly and clouds form, man goes to daily. Visit any airport around the world and watch him go. The second heaven, where the stars and planets reside in vacuous "outer space," man has gone also... but with great deliberation and difficulty].
It's SATAN who desires to go to the third heaven of God's throne -- because he wants to BE GOD:
"...'I WILL EXALT MY THRONE ABOVE THE STARS [angels - see Rev.1:20] OF GOD...'" (Isa.14:13).
But since man began to worship and obey "that old Serpent, called the Devil, and Satan" [Rev.12:9] from the beginning... it naturally followed that all of the succeeding "false religions" in the world that he foisted upon deceived mankind would include GOING TO HEAVEN.
Certainly, Muslims believe that only Muslims "go to heaven"... while all other people go to "the other place" [or whatever places their ministers, priests, imams, or whatever relegate anyone who doesn't believe their way].
As for those who profess the so-called "Christian" religion... the Bible reveals that they shall inherit whatever it was that God promised to ABRAHAM!
...IF YE BE CHRIST'S, then YE ARE ABRAHAM'S SEED, and HEIRS ACCORDING TO THE PROMISE." (Gal.3:29)
So the question is: WHAT DID GOD PROMISE ABRAHAM? HEAVEN?
NO! God promised Abraham "LAND!" Not heaven! The Promised LAND! God promised Abraham THE EARTH!
"For THE PROMISE, THAT HE SHOULD BE THE HEIR OF THE WORLD, was not to Abraham, OR TO HIS SEED, through the Law, but THROUGH THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF FAITH." (Rom.4:13)
The Bible promises NO ONE heaven... regardless of whatever false religion they happen to believe. It promises the "Righteous Faithful" of God THE EARTH:
God... "...hast made US unto our God Kings and Priests: and WE SHALL REIGN ON THE EARTH." (Rev.5:10)
There are Christians who believe only Christians go the heaven and there are Christians who believe all good people go the heaven. Those views are so divergent because no one really knows. And they do not know because there is no evidence that heaven even exists.
Christians believe that those among them who are saved will go to heaven. Bot, of course, the existence of heaven has never been proved, so this can only ever be a comforting belief.
The non-Christian sees this as entirely fair, because he believes that the Christian heaven does not even exist. Not only do non-Christians not go to heaven when they die, but Christians do not either.
Only if they exist. Christians and Muslims believe that both heaven and hell exist, but belief is not proof.
Ever single person goes to heaven. What matters is what you did while on earth. That is what determines where you go in heaven.
Only God knows.
In theory Christians go to heaven after they die. Obviously their bodies don't go to heaven, but their immaterial spiritual essence or soul is thought to go. So far we do not have any concrete evidence of this, however. So it is a matter of faith.
There is life after death for not just Christians, but everybody in the entire world. Everybody, after you die, will go to judgment with God and there it is decided if you go to hell or heaven. But the only way you can get to heaven is if your name is in the book of life by being saved through God. Not works.
Christians are buried so their bodies remain on earth but their souls can go to heaven.
A:Presumably the fact of being a Christian means that gay Christians probably believe in the possibility of going to heaven.
Christians do not believe in reincarnation. Christians believe in Heaven.
I assume you mean "Heaven". A good friend of mine is a priest. Here's the way he answers the question: When you get to Heaven if you look around and decide that you don't like who else is there, there is always another place you can go!
Then they wouldn't be able to go to heaven.
Heaven is where God is.
Doubtful. If anything, and it probably won't be in 3000, Jesus, like the real Jesus, will come back, take the Christians to heaven, destroy satan and those left on earth, and then Christians go to heaven to stay, non-Christians go to hell to stay.
All Christians. The Bible says who ever believes Jesus Christ is the son of God and died as a sacrifice for sin will go to heaven/have eternal life. This is also what Jesus taught. Jesus said this: John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Christians believe that heaven is a place of happiness because people are with God and with everybody they love. Some Christians think there the only ones going to heaven but most of us don't believe that. The Bible says that anyone who loves knows God and is from God - but it doesn't say you have to be a Christain to get to heaven.
Christians believe the Bible teaches that there is only one way to heaven and that is through Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. Only believers in Jesus will go to heaven. From a Christian point of view, yes it is necessary.
Mostly christians and muslims believe in heaven and hell.
When one dies, they go to heaven or hell.
that they would go straight to heaven if they died on a crusade.
It depends how you look at it. If you believe there is a different heaven for each religion the No. If you believe in the absoluteness of one religion then Yes and No depending on the Religion and standpoint. Some Muslims believe some Christians will go to heaven and some Christians believe some Muslims will go to heaven, in which case the answer would be Yes. But many from these two faiths believe the others are destined to burn for eternity in Hell, therefore No.
For Christians you go to heaven by believing the gospel, and knowing that Jesus died for us. Learn his word in the Bible. When you dont do that stuff and really believe in him and ask him to be your savior you wont go to heaven.
Becaus Catholics aren't Christians. Catholics believe that you have to go through the High Priest to talk to God, they believe that you'll go to purgetory if you do something wrong you didn't confess, and they pray to the saints. Christians, on the other hand, don't believe they need to go through someone else to talk to God (Jesus took care of the sepparation), they believe that if you rely on Jesus to get to heaven then you will go to heaven (no pergetory), and they only pray to God because the saints are only human.
Some Christians believe that you can not go to heaven if you have never heard of Jesus. Others say that the failure of someone to worship Jesus can not be a rejection of Jesus if he has never heard of Jesus, and therefore the person can go to heaven if he has lived a good life. It is all a matter of faith on the part of Christians themselves. What Christians can not prove is that heaven even exists. So we can not know for certain that anyone goes to the Christian heaven. It is all a matter of faith.
There is no evidence for heaven, so it depends on faith. Christians believe you will go to heaven and see God. Atheists believe there is no heaven and no God.
