The very short answer to this question is YES, not as a baby but as an adult when you can make your own decision
You get immersed in water in the Name of Jesus
I think you meant to say 'baptized.' Some people believe that getting baptized will get you into heaven, but considering it's just some person pouring water on your head, it can seem a little pointless unless you have a lot of faith.
Yes.As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him [Matthew 3:16]
no, like most other protestant denominations. not sure about all, but at my pentacostal church baptism signifies the official initiation into discipleship for christ and remission of sins. but its generally believed (in protestantism) that baptism is not ultimately essential for salvation. for instance, if someone were dying on their deathbed and had not been baptized, we believe verbal confession of sins and jesus christ as lord and son of God is enough in that moment to receive the kingdom, because the blood christ shed on the cross washes away the stain of sin. the deathbed scenario is similar to the catholic belief in baptism by desire. there are even different branches within pentacostalism. of course there are denominations that believe baptism is nothing more than a public declaration of faith, but i (a pentacostal) personally believe it has a deeper significance. if that doesnt answer your question, i hope it helps. Yes they do. They so do.
There is basically no difference in the doctrines of the two organizations. Both believe in water baptism in Jesus' name and the infilling of the Holy Ghost, as evidenced by speaking in tongues. Although both used to believe and teach that women should not wear jewelry, pants, or makeup, many churches in the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World have gotten away from that strict discipline, while most of the United Pentecostal Churches are holding on to that teaching.
Dust and water if the temperature is just right, and heaven if you believe in that.
Baptism is a public declaration of that decision. A child could get baptised once he/she understands the meaning of the baptism.Another answerThere are some Pentecostals that believe that a person must be baptized to be saved -- so they would want a person to be baptized as soon as possible. Acts2:38:Then Peter said unto them, repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.Another answerPentecostals are baptized when they believe in Jesus and what he has done for them or as some like to say "Receive him in your heart". Its not just a public display so that everyone can see you, it is a representation of us being "buried with him in baptism" or a washing away of the old man
You get baptized with holy water.
When baptized bywater, the person rose from death of original sin to new life in Christ. Now the person returns to God with new life in heaven forever. Water is the sign of life.
lutherans can be baptized at any age in life. i was baptized as a baby. but i know people who were baptized as adults. lutherans can be baptized at any age in life. i was baptized as a baby. but i know people who were baptized as adults.
It is a denomination under the religion of Christianity we practice a lot of stuff like we believe in 1 God or how you get put in the water to get baptized also you get baptized in Jesus Name.
Jesus fulfilled Scripture when he was water baptized. But He was not baptized for His sins- He was sinless. When Jesus was baptized, He was baptized with the Holy Spirit, and with the Spirit came power. Jesus never performed any miracles before he was baptized. He had the Holy spirit, but he was not baptized with the full power of the Spirit until John baptized him.
