Do people go to heaven when they die because they are good or do people go to hell because they did bad stuff during their previous bad bad bad bad life?

Listen, I'm only 13, but I'm old enough to know that if Jesus isn't in your heart, sadly, you will not be excepted into his Kingdom. It's a very unfortunate future for those who never knew how to get into Heaven, but now you do! Here are some other easy steps:
1. Admit that you have sinned
2. Believe that Jesus forgives you (He always will!)
3. Confess him as your Lord, and you'll be saved!
And then, EVERY time you get in a tough spot, Jesus will help you, if you only ask! Things may get hard, but always turn to him, and then things will be easy, if you just try! God bless you and good luck! I hope you make the right choice, and I'll be praying. :)
It all depends if they know God or not. Hell is a horrible place and is so terribly easy to get admission to. But heaven is a wonderful place, more wonderful than you can imagine. There are streets of gold and feasts. Here are the steps to becoming a christian:
1: confess your sin
2: ask to be forgiven
3: ask God to be shown in your life
4: believe that Jesus came to Earth, died on the cross for our sins, and he rose from the dead

Really, a very simple answer is if you ask Jesus in your heart, don't take it for granted, believe he died on the cross and rose again, and confess your sins, then you'll go to heaven.====================================The answer to your question is YES.Almost every religion believes in a god of love. Such a god does not send someone to eternal damnation if they are now a good person.
If you are doing the best you can to make up for whatever has happened in the past then god will accept you into heaven.
He will do this even if the sins of the past have been so great that they cannot be repaired; as long as your repentance is sincere and your following actions make that clear.
