Eyeglasses do not make you smart or smarter. You can look smarter but it does not affect how you do things in any way. However, if you believe wearing glasses will make you smart, then psychologically, it may help you perform little better.

∙ 13y agoPeople who wear glasses are no more or less likely to be smart then a person who doesn't. The assumption has a base in the past, incorrect, belief that over using your eyes by reading will weaken your sight and require the use of glasses.

∙ 12y agoNo. Wearing eye glasses do not make your eyes any better or worse, for that matter. All they can do is temporarily help you see better while you're wearing them. Once you take them off your eyes go back to what they were before you put them on. The lenses you wear bend the light in front of your eyes so they "correct" your vision.

As long as you're confident, you can look pretty in and/or with anything, including glasses. I first started wearing glasses in fourth grade, then switched to contacts in eighth grade, but had to switch back to glasses in tenth. I hate the idea of wearing glasses, but I was confident and never looked back. Now, I really like glasses, even though contacts are much better for my eyes.
