Do people think the US involvement in South Korea is justified?

It needs to be remembered, that it was the United Nations that interceded when the communist regime of North Korea invaded South Korea. The South Koreans may not have been a "model " democracy, but it was heads and shoulders above the North Korean regime. To this day the "family" run communist regime ranks as the most cruel in the world. Recently top and loyal leaders have been executed by the young son of the last North Korean communist "kingpin"

Even US President Obama has not greatly reduced US troops stationed between the two Korea's .

If reports from North Korea are correct, one high ranking leader was caught sleeping in an important government meeting. He was executed by having an anti aircraft missile fired at him.
