well I have had craniopharyngioma (operated Feb 2006), and have noticed that my hair and my nails grow a hell of a lot faster than they did beforehand. I initially thought that it may be down to my medication (including Growth Hormone), but I have been off that for about a year now.

So I'd say almost definitely yes.
