I what I'm trying to find out too!. I have braces and every time they tighten them, my face hurts underneath my tongue (Sort of where your glands are). It's like muscle pain. Well I guess I'm not the only one :)

I had the same problem--I had braces for 6 years and about 3 years in, had to get glasses too. The real answer is, let your personality shine through and show your confidence. Guys feel that confidence is one of the most attractive qualities of a girl, not lack of braces or perfect vision! But, to make the best of it, pick glasses that fit your personality & face shape--ask the sales people at the eyewear shop to recommend a shape for your face & pick a colour that goes with your skin tone. I have a round face & wear rectangular framed glasses with a fun cut out detail on the side & get compliments all the time. Also, don't try to hide your teeth & not smile, like I did when I had braces--a genuine smile is just as attractive to guys as confidence!
