Do pigs carry worms?
Yes pigs can carry worms. I have a potbellied pig and when we first brought him home he had to be treated for any worms.
Pigs can carry parasitic worms such as tapeworms or trichinosis; these worms can be killed if the meat is properly cooked. You are only at risk if you eat pork that is not well cooked. And even then, the worms do not eat your brain, although they are not good for your health. Tapeworms normally live in the intestines, and trichinosis affects the muscles.
i would say that pigs are herbivores but i was looking for the same question. Despite the fact that most people presume that they are herbivores, pigs are in fact omnivores. Pigs will scavenge and have been known to eat any kind of food, including dead insects, worms, tree bark, rotting carcasses, garbage, and even other pigs!
