depends on their trainer i have two pit bulls my self and they are nicer than any dog i have ever had... you just need to raise them wit alot of love people that abuse there dogs and make them mean are the reason the worlds so scared of pit bulls!!! from jumper69 i have two pits and they are around my 2 and 4 year old cussins every day the are not mean unless tought to be mean there are more dogs that are more amp to be mean first like the chow and the dallmation one in 100 dallmations are trainably i am so tired of the bad words on pits i was brout up around them and my dads pit tought me how to walk

∙ 11y agoAccording to the American Temperament Test Society, Pit Bulls pass their test with flying colors. In fact, the Pit Bull scores a little over 85% which is better than many dog breeds that people consider to be friendly or nice.
To put that score into perspective, it is better than the Beagle, Cocker Spaniel, Collie, Golden Retriever, Pointer, Pomeranian, Poodle, Shih Tzu, Vizsla, and most other Dog Breeds actually. The average score of the general dog breed population is only around 77% so the Pit Bull scores much better than the average.
The ATTS test focuses on and measures different aspects of temperament such as stability, shyness, aggressiveness, and friendliness as well as the dog's instinct for protectiveness towards its handler and/or self-preservation in the face of a threat. The success of Pit Bulls in this series of tests proves they are not naturally mean or violent.
