It depends. The wings are generally located so that the center of gravity (where the plane would balance itself if you held it up on a finger.) is around the front 1/3 point of the wing. This is a very general statement.
Approximately 36 aircraft in a wing
Cessnas have high wing, and most other small planes have low wing.
That can be a squadron, or maybe a 'wing'...
as big as a planes wing
Rudder on the wing of the plane controls the direction.
Where is the fuel tanks located on small planes? Most of the fuel tanks are located in the wings of the aircraft. There is usually the main tanks that are located in the center of the wings and then there are tip tanks, that are located towards the wing tips.
A plane's wingspan is the length of it's wing.
the wing flaps go up and down
Planes like B-2 Bomber And F-117 Nighthawk are these king of planes. They fly one main wing. They are called Omniwings.
Jet planes ARE monoplanes. The old model of Victorious came with swept wing jet fighters and straight wing aircraft.
Winglets are not absolutely required but many planes have winglets added to improve the aerodymanic efficiency of the wing.
Planes fly better when the wings are on the outside. Usually any even number will work fine.
