Yes, it is needed for the protection of a cell. Wow, i learned that in the 5th grade!
No. Plant and Animal Cells both have Cell Membranes. Plants cells have an extra membrane reffered to as the "Cell Wall". This helps the plant keep its shape. Without it, the plant will be very droopy. Animal cells don't need celll walls b/c they have cells specifically designed for structure of the animal. (Bone cells, muscle cells etc.)
All cells have cell walls. The big difference is that plant cells have an additional layer of cell wall covering them.
a plant and cells
No, only plants have a cell wall
No, cats do not have cell walls. Cell walls are a rigid layer surrounding the cells of plants, fungi, and bacteria, providing structure and support. In animals, including cats, cells are surrounded by a cell membrane but do not have cell walls.
Animals have only cell membranes made up of phospholipid bilayer and protein which protect and hold together the cell and its parts, it does not need to provide the support that plant cells need because animals have other forms of support ( i.e. exoskeletons and endoskeletons) and the lack of the cell wall allows for increased flexibility and advanced cell/tissue specialization, which plants cannot achieve.because animal cells need to be able to move about freely while plant cells don't.
By diffusion of the nutrients through the cell walls and membranes.
Plant cells have cell walls because they need the extra protection. This is because plant cells cannot move out of the way of danger like animals can.
An animal cell actually has less things than plant cells. Plant cells have cell walls used to hold the cells up and keep them sturdy while animal cells do not because it would make animals too stiff to move. Plant cells have the cell walls because they need to stand up and don't need to move.

cells need additional cell parts so you can be you
plant cells need photosynthesis and respiration to create energy for cell work, reproduction, and repairs.
