Yes, they are adorable little dogs. The ones I have seen are bred from a toy poodle and a small Pomeranian dog. Both have wonderful dispositions.
A standard poodle would likely make a good match for you.

Any and all mixes between dog breeds are called mutts untill they start breeding true, an event that usually takes 20-40 years ofconsistentfirm breeding to occur.Back yard breeders and puppy mills looking to make a quick buck by scamming people into believeing a poorly bred mutt is a pure breed or something special will make up names that are typically just a mash up of the dogs alleged parental breeds. So in a BYB's mind a "papillon/pmeranian" mutt is now either a "Papianian" or a "pompapillon" or maybe even "Pappomillion" Whatever fits the BYBers whim.
Poodles have a kind temperament and they also make good guide dogs and will protect you. They like to act the fool and play games, and are very sociable animals. As with all dogs, they do have a temper, but this depends on how the poodle is raised and trained. A poodle will not show aggression unless he or she has no choice to defend or protect themselves. But once again, it does depend on how you raise the poodle and how socialised he or she is.

Pomeranian dogs make sweet and loving pets... they are rarely ever aggressive to humans of any age. A Pomeranian would be perfectly fine with a three year old.
People make that claim. I don't know?
There are such things as nonshedding dogs. The poodle or the bichon frise are good choices because they do not shed or smell bad. I have a mix of those types and he is perfect because my family hates shedding dogs

Chihuahua, Pomeranian, Yorkshire Terrier, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel are commonly classified as toy dog breeds. These dogs are typically small in size, playful, and make great companions due to their friendly and social nature. They are often chosen as indoor pets due to their manageable size and affectionate personalities.
