Do power balance bands really work on back pain and neck pain?

I am a total skeptic, but I received these bands as a gift and decided to try them on. I never believed the balancing trick, but what I did notice was that I wasn't sore after walking a round of Golf. Usually my back and thighs would feel tight but that didn't happen. Whether its the technology or placebo, I'm happy whenever I can get up and go the next day. Hope this helps.

I don't really believe in the bands, but here's my story. Every morning my husband and I wake up with back and neck pain, and getting a good night's sleep was hit or miss. I bought two of these at the gas station across from my work (my husband had one awhile back, and it broke. He really believes in them, so I bought us a pair just to appease him). Since we started wearing them, we sleep good every night and neither of us wake up with back or neck pain. I woke up this morning with back and neck pain again, so I figured I was right and the things didn't work - I looked down, and I wasn't wearing mine. I had taken it off over the weekend because I went to the pool and forgot to put it back on. I'm not a believer, but even I have to admit that's strange. I guess maybe there IS something to them after all.
