No. If they can bring down a young and/or healthy prey, then they will. Elderly and sick prey are more often captured because they are simply easier to get, and often fall behind the rest of the herd or group.
A prey is what a predator hunts down to kill and eat. A prey's predator is what eats it. For example: A gazelle is the prey of a leopard (predator).
a deer is prey cause they dont kill
they jump high to the prey and get their attention
A leech does not have predator and prey relationships, so it does not kill its prey. A leech is a parasite. It simply attaches itself to a host.
The prey could easily be poisonous and kill the predator, cutting down population. Or the prey is over populated and the predator has more food causing them to be able to produce more population!
Apart from humans, gorillas don't really have enemies. The only predator or prey on gorillas is the leopard
The lion is a predator, as it hunts and consumes other animals for food.
Predators are animals that hunt and kill other animals for food. Squirrels only eat nuts, seeds and berries, so they are not predators. If anything, they are prey.
they are a preyaccually they are also predators we kill them right?
The predator doesn't have to be bigger, but it must be adadpted to kill its larger prey
BEARShumansWolves have no predators. They only have humans who kill them for silly reasons. However, besides that they aren't prey they are the predators.man
The energy that is pass on to the predator when the predator eats the prey is only 10% of it's energy as the prey's other energy is used up for itself thus the predator must eat more of it's prey to get the amount of energy it needed.
