All known pterosaurs were carnivores. There is no evidence that any pterosaurs ate any plants at all, and thus it is safe to say that at least most, if not all pterosaurs were hypercarnivorous.

What are some odd facts about the pterosaurs?

1. Pterosaurs had unusual wings that stretched from their arms and extremely elongated fourth fingers to their ankles. The wing membranes were full of muscles and support structures. Scientists still haven't figured out the exact technique that pterosaurs used to fly. 2. When Pterodactylus was first discovered in the 1700's, Cosimo Alessandro Collini determined that it must have been an ocean creature because it was so unusual he thought that it would have been discovered already if it lived on land. Note that the possibility of extinction had never been thought of before at that time in history. 3. Pterosaurs were quadrupeds. They walked on their plantigrade feet as well as on their folded wings. 4. Pterosaurs were reptiles, but unlike most reptiles they were warm blooded and many even had hairlike fibers on their skin, called pycnofibers. 5. Pterosaurs probably fended for themselves within days of hatching if they had any parental care at all.

How did the pterosaurs fly?

Pterosaurs had very unusual wings, consisting of muscle fibers, other structural support, and a leathery skin. Their wings were very different from those of any animal alive today. In addition, the immense size of some flying pterosaurs, like the 30+ foot Quetzalcoatlus, suggest that they had a more efficient method of flight than any that we know of today. Paleontologists are trying to work out how they flew, but nobody knows yet. As much as I can say is that they would have used their wings to fly, and they took off from the ground by leaping off all fours (the fingers on their wings as well as their feet, because pterosaurs were quadrupeds).
