I think you mean spaying your dog. It is when a short procedure is done to female dogs to prevent them from having puppies. If you don't plan on breeding your dog, the ASPCA encourages this because it prevents you from suddenly having a litter of puppies to care and find homes for. You should talk to your vet about it.
