I've never seen a raccoon dig holes, but armadillos are famous for that. I've stopped armadillos by sprinkling blood meal where they dig. I assume it would work for any digger. You can get it at garden centers and it's a great fertilizer. It doesn't smell great which is probably what the armadillos don't like about it.
Fences, repellents, and sprinklers are ways to keep raccoons out of a garden. Chicken wire fences drop the mammal in question (Procyon lotor) back down whereas electric Fencing provides no welcome to foragers. Repellents include plants -- such as cucumbers and peppers -- which raccoons dislike while sprinklers timed to foraging times discourage foragers who dislike doing their hunting all wet.

Yes, they dig holes in lawns as they search for earthworms and grubs.
Raccoons tear up lawns looking for earthworms and grubs. Have an exterminator spray the lawn for these and the raccoons will not have a reason to dig.
There is none except to remove anything that draws raccoons to your yard. Keep trash cans securely lidded, leave no pet food outdoors, etc.

No, the word 'raccoon' is a noun, a word for a type of mammal; a word for a living thing.A pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun in a sentence. The pronoun that takes the place of the noun raccoon is it (unless you know the gender of the raccoon, then it's he and him, or she and her).Example: A raccoon got into the trash can. Nothing will happen if nobody leaves trash bins unsecured or pet food outdoors. When the raccoon discovers there is no food, it will probably leave.
