Brine shrimp can tolerate varying levels of salinity. For hatching brine shrimp most people incubate the eggs for 24~48 hours in a saltwater solution and then separate the brine shrimp or sea monkeys from the unhatched eggs and shells. People use a 2-litre wide-mouthed glass jar filled with tap water. They often add 10 to 20 grams (2 to 4 level measured teaspoons) of cooking salt and a pinch (¼ level teaspoon) of Sodium bicarbonate.
no they live in salt water
Sea-monkeys can live in temperatures from 60 degrees to 80 degrees. Thanks!
i like monkeys
You don't if you like your sea monkeys. Sea monkeys are a variety of shrimp. They need airation/filtration and good quality water to live happilly. It is best you leave the sea monkeys with friends (someone to look after them) if you are travelling. HTH
Sea-Monkeys, despite their name, are a scientifically edited hybrid of Brine Shrimp, and thus are not found in the sea. Non-scientifically edited species of brine shrimp are not found in the sea either, rather, they are found in salt lakes around the world, such as the Great Salt Lake.
You can raise a sea urchin in a salt-water aquarium. There are no fresh water sea urchins so you would need a salt-water aquarium to properly care for the urchin.
to live
YES! they need distilled water and sea salt water. dont use table salt it will blister hermies gills and kill them. Mix the right measure of sea salt and distilled water.
