Yes! Seahorses are wonderful and unique little creatures. These unusual fish like to live in sheltered areas, where they bob about, swimming upright. They do have a horselike look but with long snouts. They sometimes turn bright colors when in unusual surroundings or when with others. Yes they have muscles that 'oscillate' the dorsal fins to cause movement through the water, and muscles to move sections of their bodies, for example, the tail section to hold onto things. Other muscles include those necessary to move the eyes and to digest food and eliminate waste.

No they do not. Animals with vertebrae are called cordates, and they do not belong to that group.
