Do sharks attack lots

Sharks only attack people on a average year about 12 times and only 2-3 of them die considering the millions of sharks humans have killed this is very little, if a shark does attack it almost always because they feel threatened or they are mislead like if a human is lead on a surfboard with his arms legs and head poking out the sides like this

mistake it for a seal etc and attack if hungry but once it tastes human flesh will usually let go unless threatened and in the cases of death the victim usually would of bled to death and extremely rarely eaten. Tiger sharks are known to be the most aggressive as they eat almost anything not the Great white like is reputation says!
