Rabit feeds on grass, cellulose present in grass partially digests in the intestine of rabit, to digest the cellulose completely rabit brings back the partially digested grass in to mouth for chewing, this process is called rumination.

No. Unlike cattle who are ruminants with several stomachs, horses have only one stomach, like humans. This means there is no need to chew cud to help the digestive process.

Why do sheep chew their cud and what is cud?

Sheep are ruminants and they chew their cud (which is grass they have eaten that has been slightly digested in the rumen and they cough it up to rechew it) to make the particle size smaller so that it is more easily digested by the microbes in their gut.

This is called lying down, cattle do not sit down as their bodies are not built to sit. They lie down as they are resting, cattle will only chew their cud when they are relaxed. They will also digest standing up as well.

Why are horses not ruminants?

Horses are not related to the even toed ruminants (or only very remotely). They developed a simple stomach and a long intestinal tract in order to process fiberous grasses and are unable to regurgitate what they have consumed. Horses rely much more heavily on fermentation in the hind gut to extract nutrition from what they eat. Ruminants (cattle, deer, antelope, etc.) have multiple stomaches and the ability to regurgitate and chew cud in order to breakdown grass fibers more effectively before they reach the hind gut.
