No. Snakes are covered in hard dry scales. They are dry, smooth, cold, and sort of soft in a muscular kind of way. My one friend described my snake wrapped around her hand as "A thin little handshake". It's hard to describe. Try feeling one. Their slithering movement is excellent for working on the neck.

There are eels that feel slimy, and actually have mucous secretions on their skin, and eels physically resemble snakes although they are an entirely different type of creature (fish rather than reptile). Snakes do not feel slimy. Their skin is normally dry and scaly.

∙ 14y agoWell some reptiles have moist slimy skin but most of them don't. For an example a turtle is a reptile and it has hard skin. So i would answer as a NO. :-)
