Snow leopards do not live in the tundra. Their habitat is known as the alpine or sub-alpine zone and they move back and forth between the two zones depending on the season. In the warmer months they live in the alpine zone but in the colder ones they move to the sub-alpines.
Because snow leopards live at such high elevations, they are adapted to a very cold, snowy climate. Throughout their elevational range (about 1200 - 6000 meters or 3900 - 20,000 feet) temperatures range from about 7o C (45o F) down to -25oC (-150 F).
Sort of. They stay in the same area but the altitude changes. They live in Asia near the Himalayas. In winter, they live near the bottom, in the sub-alpine areas. In summer they move up the mountains where it is still cold.

They perfer to eat meat, such as wild hares(snow rabbit), mountain goats, sheep, or deer. Snow leopards also eat animals from the forests, which are located in the Himalayas, where they live. They get it by hunting it down, and killing it. They stalk their prey, and wait for the right moment to pounce. They will not eat any plant, and they do not try to eat humans. They actually try to stay clear of people. Although if you get in their way, they may atack you, if their hungry enough. Some people think that all leopards only eat meat. This is not true. Some leopards will eat berries, because certain types of berries can cure animal illnesses.
