yes, snow shoe rabbits, or hares live in the artic, they can be seen in areas such as canida as well, whereever the weather enviorment reaches cool enough weather basicfally. I myself live in NYS and i have yet to see a snow shoe rome down here the weather is not cold enough for a rabbit of this breed to survive, it is simple to hot here. This breed of rabbit has very thick fur, and would over heat much like how u see dogs panting in the summer time, a rabbit has no other way to cool off besides allowing the heat to release through its ears, and panting (through its mouth)

I think you meant to write Canada and the Canadian Arctic as opposed to Alaska.
