yes they do . look at their name . then look @ their color . they are white so they can camouflage in the snow to catch their prey without it seeing them . it can also hide from enemies and predators .

some do but only if the owl decides to. It is not very common but it can happen about 37 baby snowy owls have been born in snow banks so there is your answer yes some snowy owls do in fact live in snow banks!
