How long does spacers hurt for?
When i got spacers they didn't hurt till night (the first night) they hurt REALLY bad, the second day they hurt a little bit, but my dentist said the more you chew the better they fell& to take Advil. Then for me the stop-ed hurting!
Does putting a dentistry spacer hurt?
NO.... its just a slight pressure and that's it.... spacers hurt more than braces though... put putting them in is nothing.

Take an ibuprophen before the appointment and you should be fine. It is kind of like a headache. While the orthodontist or nurse is putting in spacers it will not hurt. A day or so later a tooth may start to hurt. Just take an Advil or Motrin and the pain will go down. When the spacers come out, your mouth may be sore. If you need, take another Advil or Motrin. This person is wrong. It starts hurting a few hours after the spacers and you can't eat for a while. It's tolerable, but not fun.
What does it feel like when getting spacers put on?
It feels like you have meat in between your molars but it doesn't hurt that bad but it depends how you are in pain. If you are a person that can deal with pain then it probably will not hurt but if you cannot handle pain then it will hurt.WARNING: DO NOT THINK ABOUT THE PAIN! IT WILL HURT 10x MORE!PS. Don't worry, I have had spacers before. They don't hurt they just feel very weird, because your teeth arn't used of it. My ortho. also said everyone is different some people will the the pain, and other won't. Good luck

Why do spacers not hurt?
Spacers are tiny rubber bands that fit in between your teeth for edging. Edging is a silver thing that wrapes around your teeth. You have to keep spacers in for about 1 week and then you willl have then takes out by your dentist ONLY. If you take theses things out they hurt even worse than when u first got them put in, so just be patient and wait for your dentist to take them out. Dont be worried if you are to get spacers. In fact i have them in right now i had gotten them in 3 days ago and on March 5th im going to my dentist to get the spacers taken out and braces and edging put in. i delt with the pain and after a day or 2 the pain definetly goes away, dont be worried Good Luck, Nicole I got spacers and they didn't really hurt until the next day... take an advil and it wont be that bad. No, spacers in your teeth don't hurt at all and if they do, they will go away in a few minutes. While spacers are being put in your teeth it feels like someones pulling your teeth out. But that really does not hurt, it may hurt a few seconds but it go away as fast as you can say ouch. You will have to get used to the way it feel and that only takes a few minutes and you wont even know they are there! After a few hours it feels a little weird because it means that they are separating your teeth and it doesn't hurt much but just a tiny bit. Before I got my spacers in my mouth i had to get little rubber bands in between my molars to create space for the spacers . And those hurt terribly . getting braces hurts and getting them tightened hurts. idk yet about the actual spacers cus i haven't got them in my mouth yet. but my best suggestion to you is take Tylenol because your gonna need it !

Spacers actually kindove hurt!! It might not seem like it but its so painful! The reason why spacers hurt is because they are spacing out our teeth, if one of your spacers was hard to get in, then you know its really gonna hurt!! You should take advil or suck on a ice cube to numb your jaw- MAKE SURE NOT TO BITE THE ICE CUBE or its gonna kill! If your spacer still hurts put an ice pack on your cheek or if your at school go to the nurse and they might have a better way to help.

braces dont hurt when you first get them on, they start hurting when your trying to sleep & the day after, & spacers hurt they are way more painful then braces it feels like a piece of meats stuck on your teeth when you have spacers braces, bother you & feel uncomfortable for the first few days, dont eat anythang hard crunchy, eat oatmeal mashpatatoes, & noodles & stuff ice cream, & dont chew ice your teeth will be verry tense (sore),

Yes just imagine a spacer on every tooth! But don't worry the pain will go after a week and I will promise it will be WAY LESS painful and worth it:D
