Yes. I have found them on my front door at night and on my back deck at night and I am in central NJ. They gravitate toward light at night. During the day, they are likely to be found in decaying wood. They help to further decay the wood so they are not generally seen as pests. They eat sap but can also eat roots of other plants, which may be more problematic. They are not typically considered harmful to people but I stepped on one on my deck tonight(oops, it was dark) and got pinched. They can hang on pretty tightly. It didn't leave a mark.

If you live in New Jersey, you are living in North America.
The adjective is "four." But it should be "who live in New Jersey" (people), and if it means he has only four sisters and all of them live in New Jersey, there should be a comma after sisters. Otherwise it can mean that he has more, and only four live in New Jersey.
