yes they only eat clams, dead crabs, dead fish, and oysters!!! They eat small live fish and mollusks added to the list above. The starfish has a stomach outside the body and is able to send it into the interior of the shell and consume the creature from the inside. See the related link for more information.
I've seen starfish eating a snail. When i was about kindergarten i went to the beach. It was far and my dad had work to do there. We stayed there for a few weeks. Me, my mom and my sis decided to go to the beach and catch snails. My mom found a starfish. The snails that we caught earlier was in a bucket. It was filled with water. Not much water only a little. We put the starfish in there too. We started to catch other snails. Then about 1 or 2 snails were gone. We watched for a few minutes and the starfish started lying over one snail and the snails disappear. We only saw it eating 1. I think it only ate 2.
Starfish do not usually eat shrimp. They are very slow predators that tend to go after prey like oysters or clams. However, they often act as scavengers so if a dead or very wounded shrimp were to be near a starfish, it would not pass up the opportunity of food.
no because they are not smart enough to get them out of there shell I think they might be vegetarians but they might eat minos.
No starfish don't eat shrimp they eat clams, oysters, and mussels.
Yes they can but they will not usally. Only if food is scarce.
