They are indeed capable of talking but require more attention and patience when teaching them. They arent the type to catch on on their own like African greys. Keep their attention by being in an empty room with nothing that can get their interest. Better to start young when the bird is still fresh :D
No, not quite sun conures are a little larger than green cheek conures.
They can be taught to talk, yes.
Does the male in any specie lay eggs? I don't think so!
Check online or in the paper.
There is a huge difference in size. Sun conures and Green Cheek Conures are both small parrots, only slightly bigger than parakeets. An Amazon is a medium sized bird and will most likely kill the smaller Conures.
it depends where you live but the best thing would to type in on google conure breeders in ... and usually some one has put up a website for that sort of thing.
Sun conures, also known as sun parakeets, originate from the northeastern region of South America, primarily found in countries like Brazil, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana. They inhabit tropical savannas, forests, and woodlands, often in flocks. Their vibrant plumage and social nature make them popular pets worldwide.
Male sun conures typically have larger and more vibrant plumage compared to females. Additionally, males may display more vocal and territorial behaviors, while females can become more hormonal during breeding season. Bright plumage and behavior differences are the main distinctions between male and female sun conures.
Conures are not one specific breed of bird. Conures is used to describe either large parakeets or small parrots. There are over forty different species that are described as conures. Conure is not a scientific name, therefore it does not have a specific definition.
