Teachers are generally required to post homework assignments in writing and most students are required to write down all assignments in a log book and get them signed by their parents.
It should be called a "No Homework" pass. Some teachers allow teachers to earn them for good behavior. Students are able to redeem these and not have to complete a homework assignment.
There are many places on the internet to turn to for help. Refdesk.com, cramster.com, and/or homeworkhelp.com are 3 websites you can turn to for help with your homework. You could also stay after school and ask your teachers for extra help.
It would probably be a good idea, but the schools would have to have money to hire extra teachers so they could do it.
Homework is designed to either help you practice what you've already learned, or to work ahead and learn something new. You should be able to figure it out using your textbook. If not, ask the teacher for extra help with it.
I am in Year 8 in the UK which is grade 7 in America and you just need to do some revising, all your homework but don't be such a geek as people will make fun of you, i get pretty high grades and do all my work, yet teachers will appreciate extra work or homework plus if you have a strong relationship with your teachers they will get your grades higher and they think you are a good pupil :)
This question is not possible to answer. It depends on the age of the student, the philosophy of the school or the individual teacher. Some teachers think that homework is good for students to practice what they learned in class. This is a good strategy for languages and mathematics. Some teachers think that homework is good for students to extra work related to what they have learned. Some teachers believe that homework should be used to complete assignment work. There are probably many different types of homework given. What percentage of time is spent on homework compared with school is really answered for an individual student at an individual school and individual teacher. No answer!
Extra homework is typically given as practice for students in areas where they may be having difficulties. Class time being limited, just about the only other option is to give extra work that is to be done outside of school, homework.
It would be nice, but the school would have to have money to hire extra teachers to have those periods.
You do whatever the teacher assigns. If you mean you want extra homework, I suggest looking in the textbook for extra questions or problems, or using a search engine to look for quizzes or homework help in those classes.
If you feel you have not enough homework, ask your teacher for extra credit work.
not really Teachers are people. Of course they have lives. After school, most teachers go home, fix dinner, watch some TV or play around on the internet, correct some homework papers, and go to bed. Teachers do spend a lot of time planning how to help their students learn - they make up homework and test questions, come up with ideas for projects or group assignments, coordinate with other teachers for extracurricular activities, and look for extra help like movies and computer software. Teachers also spend time grading your assignments and trying to decide if you are learning what you should be learning. Most teachers work at a second job on top of teaching, especially during the summer. Most teachers also help with some kind of extracurricular activity like a club or sport. Many teachers are married and have children of their own, and they help their kids learn and do homework just like your parents help you.
If I received homework that no one in the class did, I would feel as if the teacher thought that I was not challenged enough by the homework he/she normally gives out, or that he/she was giving extra credit or make up work.
