I've been using the multi-vehicle stuff, which seems pretty universal. I was warned against the dexron 3 and mercon flavours, since they are for different brands. ATF + 4 is the recommended type for for Grand Wagoneers with Chrysler transmissions.
All fullsize Jeep Wagoneers, Grand Wagoneers, and fullsize Cherokees weigh roughly 4,400 pounds.
Chrysler transmissions do not have modulator valves.

They 46RH and 46RE transmissions were used in a range of Chrysler (Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, Plymouth) vehicles in the 1990s, and was used on vehicles with either the 5.2 or 5.9 V8. Ram pickups and vans, Ramchargers, and the Jeep Grand Cherokee were some of the vehicles which used this transmission.
ATF+4 is the correct fluid for 99' grand voyager. Many Chrysler transmissions are NOT compatible with standard fluid! ATF+4 is usually the best one to use with automatic transmissions before 2001, ATF+5 after. My '99 Plymouth Grand Voyager's owner's manual calls for ATF+3. Whether ATF+4 covers ATF+3, I couldn't say, so check the label :-).
