Yes, at a later date after the broadcast of the Gosselin reality television shows, one of the dogs was brought back. Since that time, Kate Gosselin has posted several blog entries featuring Shoka. She says the dog is spoiled and much loved.

In the interim, the breeder is reportedly training the dogs on basic obedience.While Kate says she is interested in the return of the dogs, she has rarely seemed interested in keeping the dogs. Originally, in the episode A Trip to the Vet (aired March 9, 2009) Kate says "these dogs are going back tomorrow and i mean it!". She said that the threat works to get the children to take care of their responsibilities.
