i don't think they know there are books about them unless they are alive
The city they live in is never mentioned in the books.
The Baudelaires did not find the Quagmire triplets in the room under the tree trunk. Instead, they found a tunnel leading to the Quagmire mansion.
I Think it is to track down the Baudelaires because little Beatrice has been separated from them. Also, he wants the story of the Baudelaire's to be told! ( I don't know about the last bit because it isn't real ).
noboady
Violet Baudelaire is 14 until The Grim Grotto where she turns 15. She is most likely 16 at the end of the series.Klaus Baudelaire is 12 until The Vile Village where he turns 13. He is most likely 14 at the end of the series.Sunny Baudelaire is about a year and a half old until about The Slippery Slope when she turns 2. She is most likely 3 at the end of the series.those are baudelaires age in the books but the only way of knowing if they are still alive is if you know when the books take place which was in the 1980's so that would makeSunny 31 or 32Violet 44And Klaus would be 41

Ultimately at the end of The End, the last book in A Series of Unfortunate Events, Kit delivers her baby and the harpooned Count Olaf reveals that he was Kit's lover and the baby's father before both he and Kit die, Olaf having lost too much blood from being harpooned and Kit from being poisoned by the Medusiod Mycelium mushroom. The Baudelaires adopt the new baby, and name her after their late mother, Beatrice. Many years later, the Baudelaires finsih building a boat and set sail for home. Lemony Snicket says he does not know if the Baudelaires made it home, and at the end of the book, we are left feeling complete with the series at its end, but yet we hunger for more. Read the books yourself and you'll see what I mean.
Count Olaf wants the Baudelair's huge fortune.
