Does takato meet guilmon ever again?
Well,at the last episode of digimon tamers, all of the digimon living in the real world return to the digital world, but when Takato goes to the place where he kept guilmon he sees a portal leading to the digital world,so YES maybe some time Takato will enter the digital world along with his friends and they are gonna search for their digimon friends.
What happened to Digimon tamers?
The series ends with the D-Reaper ultimately defeated, but due to the use of the program used to accomplish that the Digimon are unable to stay in the human world and are forced to be separated from their tamers and go to the Digital World. In the last scene, Takato manages to find a small portal at the place Guilmon used to hide, but the Drama CD released afterwards reveals it is not enough to reunite them. The most they can do is record messages for their Digimon and send them through it. If they will ever find a way to actually reunite with their partners is unknown. The events of the Runaway Locomon movie were retconned (that means rendered non-canon, out of continuity) thanks to that Drama CD.
