An electric supercharger is essentially an electric motor run off a car's alternator driving a high speed fan which attempts to force more air into a car's air intake. The idea is the same as a turbocharger or supercharger, the more air and fuel forced into the combustion chamber the more power that will be developed by the engine. The only difference between a turbocharger or supercharger and the electric supercharger is that the electric supercharger is limited by how much power the car's battery and alternator can supply whereas a turbocharger and supercharger is limited by the amount of power the engine can supply which is significantly greater in comparison.
The electric supercharger is supposed increase horsepower by the fact that it pumps compressed air to your engine making a real increase in horsepower unlike others.
yes because theres 5 pounds of boost. but u dud need to do some custom work to have it installed
Can a supercharger work on a 97 ford probe
You don't really want to clean it. If you use any harsh cem. it might actually strip off the teflon coating on the supercharger rotors. The supercharger rarely will need to be cleaned. I would really only suggest changing out the oil in the supercharger. Thank you, From www.SuperchargersOnline.com
I can't see any reason that it would.
No. the electric super charger does not spin fast enough to push the amount of air an engine needs at high RPMs. At low RPMs the charger may help but will hurt more than help at high RPMs. it does work for the lower rpms just like a supercharger evn if you can produce 4lbs and it will lose power and higher rpms just like a regular rotary style blower its designed for thos lower rpms. they work great for musle cars because the have the low end torque to move the pulley but at higher rpm it loses boost steadly same with the electric supercharger.
Superchargers run off the crankshaft of the motor and force air through the intake. There is no such thing as an electric supercharger.
That is a big negative, the Ecotec S/C is an M62. But there is a 2.4L M45 GMPP Supercharger available for it.
it won't work. they have different intakes.
do not remove your supercharger belt, the engine is set up to work with supercharger. my belt broke on mine and i was told to replace it before i drive it to much
