do not remove your supercharger belt, the engine is set up to work with supercharger. my belt broke on mine and i was told to replace it before i drive it to much
no
What makes a supercharger squeal like a bearing is going out
One thing to consider is air density, which increases with lower temperatures, and going the same speed in denser air takes more power.
theres a Allen wrench plug port to the right of the pulley on the cone going towards the block ,remove it the oil should be to the bottom of the threads if not add.to replace you need a turkey baster or syringe to remove old oil. hope this helps
It depends on model, a tiny t25 turbo isn't going to push enough air as say a 6 lobe 2.3L supercharger of the ls9 in the ZR1 corvette.
It might be the supercharger going bad. The supercharger has a little coupler that is located in between the supercharger nose and the main body. This coupler is located inside and once it starts to wear out it will start making a clunk sound. You can replace the coupler, replace the nose, or rebuild the whole supercharger. If your supercharger is an Eaton type supercharger and it is making noise that is an early indication that the supercharger might need a rebuild. A lot of times the noise is actually coming from a little coupler that is located in the inside of the supercharger. This coupler has 6 holes in it and over time these rounded holes will wear out and become an oval shape. Once it becomes oval shape the supercharger will start to make a rattle sound. If left untreated the rattle will lead to the bearings going bad and then the seals. You will then need to get a complete rebuilt done on the supercharger. The coupler is easy to replace. You basically have to take the supercharger noise off with the 6 bolts that holds it and then once the two ends pull a part the coupler will be sitting right there. Just slide the coupler off of the pins and replace it. Then slide the two ends together and bolt it back up. You will also need to refill the supercharger with oil.
It started in the 1700s, and it is still going on now in poorer countries
1.There is a tensioner for each belt that is the first step remove belts from s/c and alternater socket and ratchet with pipe for leverage. am not going to waste my time if no one is needing this. 2.remove all plastic covering from top of engine. 3.unbolt fuel rails, pull injectors out with fuel rail.
That is a major sign that the supercharger is going bad and will need a rebuild. Basically the seal is leaking from the front nose cone. The seal usually leaks when the bearings have gone bad. The two best options will to replace the front nose cone, or get a rebuilt supercharger. Once the oil starts to leak the bearings will have no oil and it will soon fail on you.
It might be. You might want to see if the coupler in the middle is going bad. If it is not leaking oil yet, then it might just be this coupler.
I going for gas mileage on my 82 Chevy pickup. Should I rebuild the stock 305 or a 350ci. Remember looking for the best mileage.
