Uhhmmm.... other types of owls.
Any flock of owls is called a parliament. A group of them is also referred to as a bazaar, a brood or a wisdom.
The best adaptation for escaping predators by self defense is the spray of a skunk. I don't know any predators that don't give up when sprayed, with the possible exception of a great horned owl. There is evidence that skunks can't spray when picked up and this is what owls do.
The Swallow-tailed Kite's main predators are larger birds of prey such as eagles, hawks, and owls. Nestlings are especially vulnerable to predation due to their small size and inability to fend off attackers. Adults have fewer predators but can still be targeted by large raptors.
We went and bought a fake owl at Mendards - it doesn't work. So, now we are calling the Dept. of Agriculture to get more suggestions. I know they need to grant a permit to you if lethal action is needed.
In the wild, animals such as fishers, bobcats, mountain lions, and great horned owls are known to prey on porcupines. These predators have developed strategies to avoid the porcupine's quills while hunting them for food.
Foxes, badgers, raccoons, and stoats steal great horned owl eggs. The owls themselves don't have any real predators, except maybe larger owls.
Other birds of prey. Some hawks will feed on smaller raptors, and likewise some owls, such as the great horned owl, will feed on smaller raptors. Great horned owls have even been known to prey on red-tailed hawks occasionally.
Snowy owls are primarily preyed upon by larger raptors such as great horned owls and bald eagles. Other potential predators include foxes, wolves, and occasionally other owls. However, adult snowy owls are formidable predators themselves and are able to defend themselves and their nests effectively.

Man is an enemy of any owl. About 96% of all owls are killed by humans. Most were shot or trapped. They also die from pesticides. When they eat their prey and it has been exposed to pesticides it gets inside the owl's body and then the owl dies. Burrowing owls make a sound like a rattlesnake shaking its tail. This scares skunks and coyotes, which are animals that eat owls. It also scares ground squirrels that might try to move into the same tunnels. The Great Horned Owl's only natural enemy is other Great Horned Owls, though occasionally other birds may try to get their eggs. The great horned owl is the major predator for owlets. Ravens, goshawks, coopers hawks, and red tailed hawks have been known to kill and eat young owls. Very few animals however will prey on an adult spotted owl. Other enemies of owls are foxes, weasels, flocks of crows, and wolves.
