yes
well no it is only gray when it is a hote/baby and when it does not eat the pink shrimp that make it pink
A flamingo becomes pink gradually over a period of 1-3 years
no because of the food they eat (pink shrimp) gives them that hot pinkish color
Yes. They are born white. The way that they become pink is because they eat a certain fish that has a chemical hormone and it turn the flamingo's pink when they eat them. I hope this information is helpful to you =^_^=
Flamingos are pink because of beta carotene in the diet. The source of this varies from species to species but is usually shrimp or blue-green algae.

Flamingos are omnivorous; they mainly eat tiny [pink] shrimp in water and [pink] flies that fly above the water, hence their pink color. They also eat algea, seeds, and small crustaceans. When they are born, they're white-ish yellow, but turn pink because of their diet.
"Young flamingos hatch with grey plumage, but adults range from light pink to bright red due to aqueous bacteria and beta carotene obtained from their food supply. A well-fed, healthy flamingo is more vibrantly coloured and thus a more desirable mate. A white or pale flamingo, however, is usually unhealthy or malnourished. Captive flamingos are a notable exception; many turn a pale pink as they are not fed carotene at levels comparable to the wild. This is changing as more zoos begin to add prawns and other supplements to the diets of their flamingos." ~ Excerpted from the Wikipedia article on Flamingos
flamingos are white at birth but when they eat red shrimps or fish then they turn pink + = if you want more research and information go look up some more if you do not believe me.
they would lose the pink pigmentation and in turn would eventually fade to a white or grey. if you look at the baby flamingos they are of grey colour this is because they have not been exposed to the effects of shrimp.
Oh, dude, according to Darwin, flamingos are pink because of their diet of brine shrimp and blue-green algae that contain carotenoid pigments. These pigments get deposited in their feathers, giving them that fabulous pink hue. So basically, they are what they eat, just like us, but way more fabulous.
Well if we keep polluting water all the good diets of flamingos will become infected, so if the flamingos get infected they could die and without their regular diet, they would turn white instead of pink.
