If the seizure is caused by the dog being too hot, then first aid includes pouring cool water over the animal. Otherwise, it could be that the dog ate something poisonous. To get that out the dog's stomach, drizzle a half-and-half mixture of water and hydrogen peroxide into the back of his throat. He will throw up the poisonous material in about 6 or 7 seconds. This is usually easiest if done where the upper and lower lips come together under the eye. (More or less).

Every dog owner should have hydrogen peroxide handy. I believe this is very harmful for cats, though.

Can penicillin cause seizures in dogs?

Penicilin is not a commonly known trigger for seizures in dogs, but I wouldn't be surprised if it could cause them. Some foods and toxins can cause dog seizures, as well as excessive external stimulus (ie, light & sound), so it could, in theory, be a trigger.
