They are making new games for PS2 in 2010, but I think Sony only licensed them and they were made by other companies like most PS3 games. Some 2010 releases have been cancelled and there is little doubt that with over 3500 different PS2 games the market might be flooded. It is very hard for a company to complete with the huge numbers of used games that are available.

∙ 11y agoSo few are now made that Gamespot no longer maintains a spot for the PS2 on it's main menu and GameStop lists it under other only because of the used PS2 games in there inventory. Any games that are made are not PS2 exclusive and are only released in a PS2 version along with other platform releases. If the PS2 title is not release with the other platforms do not expect a later PS2 release as it is never done. Over the Holiday season Sony reported only 2.5 million units in PS2 software sales the lowest number ever for the system

∙ 12y agoWith 1.51 billion games already out there the market is flooded with games and new games are not being sold in huge quantities. Then many PS2 owners get upset when the PS3 and Xbox 360 games can do more and developers just got tired of all the problems for so little reward
