If you park inside the gates, yes. Visitor parking is outside the gates. However, if there was reasonable suspicion of contraband, they could search your car in the visitor's lot as well, as it is still on state property. When you drive outthe gates, you have to pop the trunk. They always do a look-through when you drive out.
