It depends where you live and the school district's rules and guidelines. Here in Colorado, I had my sex ed class in fifth grade, which covered pretty much everything from Animal Reproduction to overzealous lovers. But a friend of mine in Georgia, had his sex ed class in middle school and it was basically just the basics.
