The front is (probably) a direct fit.
The rear probably not.
Track rear Wheels are likely to use a narrower axle spacing than a multi-speed rear.
If it's a steel frame, it can be respaced - Cold set - to a narrower spacing, and the dropouts realigned.
There's a limit on how many times you can do this, so Think carefully if you'd ever want to turn it back into multi-speed again.

∙ 6y agoThin wheels alone isn't enough to identify the bike type. Can be a road bike, bike, a track bike, a TT bike. Even fixies and single-speeds can have thin wheels.
Another vague question. Most road bikes have a wheel size of 28" / 622 mm / 700C.(these are all different names for the same size) Older bikes can have 27" / 630 mm wheels.
Mountain bikes usually have much wider tires than road bikes, so they have wider tubes as well. Trying to fit a MTB tube inside a narrow road tire is a challenge. Also, MTB wheels are usually smaller than road wheels, with the corresponding change in tube overall diameter.

For road bikes, you need roads, for mountain bikes, you need and off-road path, for BMX, you need a course and jumps, for indoor tracks, you need, well, and indoor track, and for time trials, you need a motorcourse.

Most fixies follow the fixie ideal of looking like track bike frames being used for general riding.And since track bikes use very narrow tires, many fixies does too.It's possible to build fixie wheels for any kind of bike. But not being able to coast is such a big drawback that not many people find any use for such a bike.
