Oh my gosh yes! Soft shell turtle bites hurt a lot! I find that they are one of the few turtle bites that actually do damage and hurt. If you are holding a soft shell then don't get your hand or finger with in 5-10inches, depending on age, near his mouth. Be careful because they can whip their heads over their backs, bellies, and sides too, so it is very hard to hold an aggressive one.
Yes, but more of a surprising hurt. It won't likely make you bleed, but I would not advise trying to find out.
I think you need to think this through a turtles shell are what in some wars veterans used as helmets so their pretty strong its just common sense needed to answer this question
No only when they are attacked
It's just a wee pinch.
Yes,unless it has no mouth!!
It is not recommended because soft shell turtles have little protection, and seem to have a "bite me" sign on them. If you do happen to get another turtle, you would have to do plenty of babysitting.
My red bellied turtle has suddenly gotten a soft shell. Is he ok?
With a net.
Touch it.
turtle
Yes Turtles do have an exoskeleton, it is called a shell. Without the shell the turtle would just be soft and in danger. :)
not very big
You should take it to the vet because a soft shell is a sign of shell rot and needs to be treated or the animal will die. But give the shell about a week and see if it is hard and if not then take ur turtle to the vet
