It is never easy to euthanize an animal, particularly one that you have treated for the last decade from its first puppy shots to setting its broken leg to monitoring and managing its Diabetes. Most veterinarians learn to maintain a small amount of emotional distance from their patients for this reason - it makes it a little easier to be objective and provide a realistic prognosis when the worst happens. However, there are always patients that sneak into your heart and are gut-wrenching to say goodbye to.
Most veterinarians use injectable euthanasia solution; in the United States the most common commercially available solutions are based upon a high dose of potassium and pentobarbital. The solution is injected into a vein and the dog dies quickly and painlessly with no anxiety.
Veterinarians are not required to euthanize animals, but the vast majority will do so at some point. However, there is a wide range in the reasons why a veterinarian will euthanize an animal.
There are some veterinarians that will only euthanize for medical reasons - incurable cancer, severe untreatable injury, fatal illness, etc. There are other veterinarians that will euthanize for non-medical reasons, such as inability of the owner to afford treatment. A few veterinarians will euthanize unwanted animals, such as older stray animals at shelters.
All veterinarians at times must put animals to sleep to eliminate the pain and suffering of a terminally ill animal.
Yes they do specially if the family wants it done and the dog is in pain
It depends on their behavior
Veterinarians can euthanize dogs, but your question is not complete.
take care of animals depending of course what type of vet you are, own a buisness, pay vet tech, preform surgeries, and sometimes board animals.
Most veterinarians will put it to sleep for free, if you explain that you can't pay. Call and ask.

aproximately 1,654,545,000,000, animals a year die from animal cruelty
animal shelters try their best not to put animals down due to overcrowding. I have never heard of any shelter putting animals down for this reason, if they have too many they put good home wanted notices in papers and the internet. But, Depending where you are....They do put them down alot due to overcrowding.......Where i live,They put alot down each week.....I have to agree of what they should do....Put notices up...But most shelters just put them down...Its really truly sad :(
right round by flo rida because it say you spin my head right round right round when you go down thank you i hope you enjoy it
Animal Hospitals try all they can to help the animals. If they can't help the animal they have to put it down if it is very serious.
