Sometimes it's people who don't play the games, or who don't really understand them that make sweeping statements, trying to pin the blame on computer games.

People also believe it can distort a childs perception of death, where they think that 'respawning' is real, and that they can't die. Another argument is that people can become obsessed with video games, not sleeping much, or eating what their body needs. This itself is a form of selfharm and can lead a person to agressive and violent behaviour.
