Yes, like all other mechanical devices.
Yes
Timing marks are not lined up correctly.
I just had a home inspected, and the inspector measured the static water pressure at 115 psi. He noted that this pressure shouldn't be above 80 psi and recommended installing a pressure reducing or regulating valve to get the pressure down to 80 psi. He warned that too much pressure stresses pipes, fittings, and valves and can cause any of these to fail. Most solenoid valves on a washing machine or dish washer would not like to see over 80 psi Gage. other valves like faucets and boiler drains my leek sooner but will not be effected as much. The pressure relief valve on your water heater may exceed its 150 psi if heating from a cold take with out a domestic expansion tank, especially with existence of a check valve at the water meter.
Check the water solenoid valves. On our Kenmore the valves had begun to stick causing the ice maker to fail as it is a timed cycle to fill the tray.
The blood pressure in the superficial veins is usually low, but if it rises and remains at a higher level over a period of time, the valves in the veins begin to fail and the veins dilate, or expand
If the papillary muscles fail to contract the valves will prolapse. The papillary muscles are located in the ventricles and contract to prevent prolapse.
The valves have to open to let blood flow into a chamber, and close before the blood flows back. If the valves do not open and close precisely on schedule, or if they fail to open or close completely, the blood will not flow efficiently. This can cause fluctuations in blood pressure, lack of flow to organs, or damage to the muscles of the heart. For example, if the aortic valve between the heart and the aorta does not close after the left ventricle contracts, there will be back pressure into the ventricle, less blood pumped out of the heart, and lower pressure in the arteries.
in a word yes when you turn the engine off theoil pressure drops quickly but the water pressure drops slowly so water will get into the sump then your crankshaft journals fail
The valves help to prevent blood from seeping backwards. They provide a one way valve. When valves begin to fail blood may become stagnant and cause unsightly varicose veins - usually in the legs..
